Format & Scoring
IELTS consists of the four main sections of Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. This test lasts about 2 hours and 45 minutes, and is scaled from 1.0 to 9.0.
The four sections are all evaluated separately and the overall IELTS result is the average of the scores of the four sections. The grammar, vocabulary, fluency, pronunciation, coherence, and accuracy are all assessed by IELTS examiners to determine IELTS band scores.
