Academic Requirement:

The academic requirements heavily dependent on the university and the course you are applying for but the general requirements include:

1. For Bachelors: 

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum GPA of 2.4 to 2.8 (Varies according to University)
   

2. For Masters:

• Bachelors degree from a recognized university
• Minimum  GPA of 2.8 to 3.0

Pre-CAS University Application Documents

Before you receive your CAS, universities assess your academic background, career plans and genuine student intent. This is where documents:

• SOP
• CV
• NOC

University Requirements:

1. CAS: 

A unique 14-digit reference number issued by your university after you accept an unconditional offer. 

2. Academic Transcripts:

Original mark sheets and certificates for all previous levels of study. 

3. English Language Proficiency 

• Duolingo: Generally 105 to 130
• IELTS: Generally 6.0 for Bachelors; 6.5 for Masters.
• PTE: Generally 59+ for Bachelors; 62+ for Masters.

4. ATAS Certificate

 Required for specific sensitive subjects in medicine, science, or engineering 

Financial Requirements:

Monthly Living Cost

• Inside London: £1,529 per month (up to 9 months).
• Outside London: £1,171 per month (up to 9 months).

The 28 day Rule: 

The full amount (Tuition + Living Costs) must be held in a regulated bank account for 28 consecutive days. 

Bank Statement:

Must be dated within 31 days before your visa application date. 

Additional Requirements:

• Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS):

A mandatory fee to access the UK’s NHS (approx. £776 per year) 

• Visa Application Fee:

The standard fee for a student visa from outside the UK is £558. 

• TB Test: 

A valid TB clearance certificate from an IOM-approved clinic in Kathmandu 

• Biometrics:

You must visit the VFS Global center in Kathmandu to provide fingerprints and a digital photograph.
